Finding SaneLater or any of your new folders

After you show, hide, create, or destroy a folder on your Settings page, you might not see the new folders right away. The instructions below will help you synchronize the list of folders in your email client.

Some folders, such as SaneNotSpam and SaneArchive, will only be created when they are necessary.

If you are using POP to view your email, click here.


Otherwise, please find your email client or web interface below for specific instructions.


Webmail (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL, etc.)

  1. Try simply reloading the web page.

  2. If that doesn't work, log out of webmail and back in.

  3. You may not have all of your folders showing in your list of folders in the left column of your screen.  If there is a number more at the bottom, click that.  Here is a screen shot as an example. 

  4. Go to your Labels page in Gmail and click Show next to the Sane labels.
  5. If this still is not working with Yahoo!, go here.  


Outlook 2010


Outlook-2010-synchronize
  1. Under the Folder option in the menu bar, click Update Folder List.

  2. If that doesn't work, try quiting Outlook and restarting it.

  3. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your windows box.


Outlook 2007



  1. Right click on the email account you wish to synchronize.

  2. Click Update Folder List.

  3. If that doesn't work, try quiting Outlook and restarting it.

  4. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your Windows box.

Apple/Mac Mail

  1. Under the Mailbox menu for Apple Mail, click Synchronize All Accounts.  

  2. If that doesn't work, trying quiting Mail.app and restarting it.

  3. If that doesn't work

    1. Go to Mail->Preferences->Accounts->Advanced

    2. Uncheck "Enable this account" 

    3. Click on the RSS Icon (or any other preferences icon) to force Mail.app to save the settings.  You will see a modal asking if it is OK to save.

    4. Go back and re-check "Enable this account" and force it to save again.

Mozilla Thunderbird

1.  Right click on the email account you wish to synchronize.

2.  Click Subscribe.






3.  Click Refresh.

4.  Ensure the new mailboxes are checked.

5.  If you still don't see your SaneLater folder, try opening and closing the expander arrow next to your email account name so that all the folders are hidden and then shown. Here is a screen shot of where to click.


Outlook Express




  1. Right click on the email account you wish to synchronize.
  2. Click Reset List.
  3. If that doesn't work, try quiting and restarting Outlook Express.
  4. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your Windows box.
 


I use something else!
